Jessica Rose Sturdy

It all began when I started a blog on a whim one night in 2010 during my senior year of college (when I should have been studying for a finance exam). I guess procrastination can actually pay off sometimes!

After college, I moved to Chicago and learned from the best in the personal styling world, and then moved to New York City to build up my resume working in both the fashion and beauty industries.

My corporate background is in social media management, influencer marketing, and strategic brand partnerships. I retired from the traditional 9-to-5 world in 2015 to focus on building my own brand. I launched a clothing line later in 2015 (by the same name as that little blog I started in college) and was fortunate enough to travel all over the world the next few years and partner with some of the best brands in the biz. From BMW to Uber, Visa to AirBnb, Nordstrom to Lululemon, Kate Spade to Ralph Lauren, Nespresso to Dunkin’ Donuts, and many more in between!

I did Remote Year in 2018 (my version of an “adult study abroad”) and got the chance to live in Latin America for four months while working remotely. I had extended stays in Peru, Colombia, and Mexico City, so I’ve got travel rec’s for days. (And no, I’m still not fluent in Spanish, don’t @ me.) I started a podcast in 2019, and also started to take on more styling clients and consulting projects on the side.

After five years of doing my own thing, I launched Cheeky Creative in 2020! Whether it’s website building, content creation, social media marketing, or brand evolution, we can help with most of your creative needs. And if we can’t help you out, chances are we know someone who can!

I’ve been working on two other projects behind-the-scenes, and I can’t wait to share more sometime soon!

Lots going on? Sure! But I’m truly not about that “omg i’m so busy” life. I work hard, but like to have fun while doing so. I, unapologetically, believe life is meant to be enjoyed!

If we don’t already know each other, I hope we get the chance to meet sometime soon.

xx jrs

ps: I’m totes a hugger even though I signed that with an ‘xx’ instead of an ‘xo.’ I tried to grow out of it when I lived in NYC, but I guess I’m just a Midwesterner at heart. (Although, I will say, COVID may have finally changed that for good! #AirHugs)
